 Before embarking on your journey to loc extensions

Creating loc extensions can take 8-16 hours depending on the length and density of your hair as well as how small and long you want the extensions.

The first,use a wide-toothed comb or your favorite combing tool (such as the brush in the Familocs set) to remove tangles, tangles and tangles from your hair. Rinse thoroughly, then thoroughly cleanse your scalp and hair with a moisturizing shampoo.

After dividing the hair into sections, you need to tie up each section. It's advisable not to tie them too tightly, as this could harm your scalp. This is to facilitate your subsequent dreadextensions access, each braid corresponds to a different area, you can effectively estimate the number of braids you need, and you can roughly know how long you need to spend. In fact, the most important purpose is to make your dreadlocks evenly distributed to the hair, so that the force balance, in order to connect more firmly.

Specific steps for loc extensions

• Place the loc extension at the base of one of your sections of natural hair.

• With a crochet hook, begin to crochet the loose extension hair to your natural hair.

His purpose is to intertwine a portion of the voluminous hair bundle with your own hair completely, so it looks like your natural hair. Typically, these connections are secure. This step will be time-consuming and intricate.

It's important to note, if you purchased hair bundles, you will need some time before attaching them to weave them into braids and leave some loose hair for easy crochet. However, if you purchased loc extensions, you can use the already prepared loose ends to start crocheting them with your own hair.

• Grip your natural hair and the extension hair with your forefinger, middle finger, and thumb.

This is to prevent your braids from falling out or not aligning properly before you finish attaching the hair extensions. You need to first choose the angle of your synthetic hair, then secure it with your three fingers, and perform the corresponding crochet actions.

Repeat the process of inserting and pulling out the crochet needle.

• Insert and pull out the crochet hook repeatedly.

In this step, the loose end of the braid will intertwine with your own hair. The repeated actions are meant to bring out the strands of hair, allowing them to intertwine more effectively.

• Every so often, stop crocheting, turn the hair, and crochet from a different angle.

Also, this is to ensure even distribution of tension. If you only crochet from one angle, the hair at that angle will be relatively secure, but hair from other angles may not be properly woven in with your own hair, resulting in less secure attachments. To achieve a strong and durable result for your hair extensions and ensure longevity, you need to crochet from different angles.

• Stop crocheting when the hair feels locked and secure.

At this point, you have essentially completed connecting one braid. As mentioned earlier, one braid corresponds to one section. If you have followed the above instructions, now you need to move on to the next section.

• Repeat the above steps to attach the rest of the locs.

Note: Make sure not to crochet too close to the scalp, as this can cause scalp pain. Leave at least a half-inch of hair unlocked.
